Application Related Legal Compliance

Several of MCE's products are designed to be used as or in Food Contact Materials.

EU Legislation: Besides complying with applicable requirements of the Framework Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004, the monomers and additives of those food contact grades are on the Positive List of the Plastics Regulation (EC) 10/2011 as amended. Dedicated products for food contact applications are manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practice conditions as described in the GMP Regulation (EC) 2023/2006.

FDA: Most Food Contact grades fulfill the requirements of relevant paragraphs of 21 CFR or are cleared by an FCN.

Dual Use Additives: Our dedicated food contact products may contain Dual Use Additives subject to a restriction in food.

Several products of MCE are promoted for automotive applications.

We create Material Data Sheets in IMDS and send them to our customers. In the manufacture of our products declarable or prohibited substances according to GADSL (Global Automotive Declarable Substances List) are not intentionally used.

Our products also comply with Automotive Standards regarding the non-intentional use of banned or restricted substances.

Our products comply with the requirements of the RoHS2 and the WEEE Directive as amended regarding the non-intentional use of prohibited or restricted substances.
