Notio™
Nano Crystalline structure controlled Elastomer
Notio™ is a resin designed polyolefin elastomer based on a completely new concept. Its crystalline and amorphous structure is controlled at the nano-level, allowing for the realization of properties that cannot be achieved with traditional polyolefin elastomers.
While Notio™ is flexible, it is also a low-density elastomer with excellent heat resistance properties. It is a transparent resin that is not cross-linked and demonstrates superior elasticity.
It can also be used to modify other compounds, particularly polypropylene, to achieve a fine balance of impact resistance, scratch resistance, transparency and heat resistance in addition to eliminating whitening on bending. As Notio™ is a polyolefin compound, it is environmentally friendly and can be recycled.
By controlling the polymer's crystalline and amorphous structure (morphology) at the nano-level, a non cross-linked compound with superior heat resistance and elasticity was developed.
Heat resistance, flexibility
The crystals form a network, producing a superior balance of heat resistance and flexibility.
Elasticity
Superior elasticity was achieved by interlinking amorphous molecules into the crystalline network.
Transparency
Transparency is excellent as the crystals are nano-sized and therefore extremely fine.
Lightness
As a olefin polymer, density is low. This permits lightweight products.
Polypropylene modification characteristics: Excellent compatibility with polypropylene permits improved transparency, toughness, impact resistance and reduced whitening on bending. Up until now, improving the above properties led to a corresponding deterioration in heat resistance and scratch resistance, but with Notio™ there is no such payoff - heat and scratch resistance remain unaffected.
